Brake Caliper Painting
Recently we introduced a new service – Brake Caliper Painting. We’ve been wanting to do this for a while but held off until we could offer the right level quality. We don’t do things unless we can do it right!
Most companies paint the calipers on the car, masking everything off and either brushing or spraying the bits they can see, but there is a problem with this approach. It is impossible to paint the whole brake assembly properly so you end up with a half painted caliper that looks ok where you can see it but doesn’t have the benefit of the protection the paint offers where it is needed the most.
We do things differently.
We remove the calipers and carriers from the car so we can prepare and clean them properly. This includes a blast cabinet for removing old coatings and rust as well as a parts washer for final degreasing. We spray paint every component with heat-resistant 2k polyurethane paint which is then IR baked for the best possible finish. We have in-house software and a vinyl cutter to produce the decals we need to retain your caliper branding.
